In 1999 a new centre was opened in Nizamuddin Basti for the women of the surrounding community. Women are taught skills, such as tailoring & crochet work. Regular classes are organized for Henna application, Candle making & other crafts so as to generate an income through activities while staying at home. The center has a wide range of quality articles made by the women, some of which are popular fashion accessories.
This center is known for its unique crochet work. The girls here are trained & specialized in this form of embroidery. The items produced are crochet frocks, stoles, bags, table mats, cusion covers, sarees, shawls of international standard. The items are sold from the center. The money received against sale is utilized for the development of the trust.
